Oceanside Farms is situated in Puerto Cayo, a small coastal town characterized by its artisanal fisherman culture, surrounding cloud forest habitat, and the constant lull of waves. We chose Puerto Cayo for its peaceful, mostly secluded environment. A 45-minute drive from the city of Manta, Puerto Cayo has abundant space to practice sustainable farming and residential development on a meaningful yet still manageable scale. We also share our habitat with an incredible variety of wildlife — humpback whales migrate within viewing range along the Pacific Coast and Isla De La Plata, the Island of Silver commonly called The Little Galapagos, sits just off our coast.

Nowhere else in the world is there a single country that offers its visitors the chance in such a short distance to span between the experience and styles of colonial European, ancient indigenous and coastal cultures. Locally, OSFR provides residents with private beach access and our beach clubhouse across the street. Oceanside Farms is additionally located only minutes from the “Los Frailes” National Park Beach, voted consistently as the most beautiful beach in Ecuador. While similar to the California Coastal landscape, our seemingly neverending stretch of beach is made unique with its cool micro-climate and the cloud forest backing it.
